B2B Newsletter Brought to you by: Basics2Bylines - A WNY Writers' Network
Hello Fellow Writers!
Is everyone enjoying this up and down weather we're having? 60 degrees and sunny one day - snowing the next! Well, I guess that's Buffalo weather for you... if you don't like the weather, wait a day - it'll change!
And through it all we still continue to strive, and succeed, at getting published. Maria Burnett has recently joined the ranks of published, with the release of her Italian to English translation of the book, "Tesio: In His Own Words."
From the Foreword of Tesio: In His Own Words "Tesio was a man of great curiosity and intellect. He was a breeder and a genecist. But he also was an artist and a philosopher... After some searching for the right person, we found Maria Burnett of Buffalo, NY. She has faithfully translated Tesio's manuscript with the goal of capturing every nuance and every subtlety it contains."
You can find out more about Maria's translations at her new website: http://www.mariaburnett.com/

B2B Writers' Group News
Thanks to freelance writer, Georgia Burnette, who spoke at our last month's meeting at the Lancaster Library, and to Ed Adamczyk, who stopped in the previous month. It's inspiring and motivating to hear of the literary accomplishments and experiences of others. I've been motivated, myself, to send out two submissions just this week - one set of poems to a Poetry Chapbook Contest and another smaller set of poems to a publisher of an anthology of poems.
May 17, 2005 - Author Cliff Fazzolari will speak of his publishing experiences. Sterlinghouse Publisher has recently released Cliff's sixth book, "Counting on a Miracle." This is a beautiful account of his son's battle with a life-threatening tumor and the wonderful people at the Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo who saved his life.
Lynne Wallace-Lee is back from gallivanting all over the world and is looking forward to meeting with her writers' group at Barnes & Noble on Niagara Falls Blvd. in Amherst on May 2nd. I'm sure she'll have stories to share from Ireland and from the ASJA Conference in NYC.
Speaking of Stories to share - Georgia Burnette has also done her fair share of traveling across the states in the last few weeks and one of her stops was to the 2005 National Writers' Workshop in Hartford, Connecticut. Ms. Burnette has written a wonderful review of the conference and has graciously shared it with us. Finally, some great literary content to add to our website! Please visit our website where you can read all about the 2005 National Writers' Workshop: http://basics2bylines.org/GeorgiaBurnette.html
While you're there look around on our website. I've taken this opportunity to add some of my own tips for writers on our home page at http://basics2bylines.org/
If you would like to add to our on-line literary content - questions or answers - please feel free to send us an email at info@basics2bylines.org.
