When I first started writing poems, I couldn't believe some of the things I wrote. The words seemed to come from my pen--not me.

Keep writing, you'll be amazed at what you'll read!

A New Craft

I didn't know I had it in me

Never saw it there before

It makes me kind of wonder

Where it went before

The words just keep on flowing

From deep inside of me

Seems like they've been locked up

Dying to break free

I've always been quite crafty

At making things you see

But now I'm weaving patterns

Of thoughts inside of me

Crocheting words together

A lace of joy and pain

Putting thoughts in writing

Seems to take away the strain

For it is a stress reliever

A therapy, you see

A way to be creative

That's really good for me

So now when I'm creating

Weaving words that come from me

I'm finding things about myself

That I never used to see
