Edie Koch (Writers' Group Coordinator - Perkins in Clarence) has worked in a financial institution for 30 years. She writes poems and essays, many of which have been published in publications such as:The Buffalo News, Writer's Journal, CIA -Citizen in America, and Poems in the Waiting Room (in London). Edie's had poems highlighted in local newsletters and has also posted her writings at OurEcho.com and Buffalo.com/YourHub.

Lynne Wallace-Lee (Writers' Group Coordinator - Barnes & Noble - Amherst) is a freelance writer with college training in technical writing, including research and project organization and management. Her educational background is in international trade, French, and travel. Lynne specializes in personal essays and viewpoints, as well as travel, cooking, and health writing.

After attending and then assisting with a series of writing workshops, Lynne and Edie found that they enjoyed getting together with other writers and hearing their works, as well as sharing their own. It seemed that a writer's group needed to be formed in the area, so together they started two partner writers' groups called, "Basics 2 Bylines A WNY Writers' Network," offering them at two locations in the Buffalo area. They hope to provide a network for writers, as well as offer tips and advice on getting published.
